Chris Schehr Joins LA Ironmen

Dye Precision’s factory team, the Los Angeles Ironmen, one of the world’s most successful and longest running professional paintball teams, is excited to announce the signing of professional player Chris Schehr.

The soon-to-be-lawyer, Chris Schehr, currently in law school in San Diego, joined well known paintball organization Gridlock at the young age of 14.  His obsession with competitive paintball fueled his relentless pursuit to the top of the professional ranks.  After joining professional PSP / NXL team Trenton Topgun, Schehr gained a wealth of experience playing on paintball's main stages until the team ultimately disbanded during the 2015 off-season.

With law-school taking up most of his time, Schehr worried about finding a school/paintball balance, but in the end he couldn't walk away from his passion for the sport.

Living in Southern California has it's perks, however, as Chris practiced weekend after weekend at Camp Pendleton until it eventually lead to an invitation to tryout for a team he's looked up to his entire career.

Chris Schehr - "Since I was a kid I had dreamt about playing for the legendary Los Angeles Ironmen.  Now that I have the opportunity to play for them, I can truly say I am blessed.  I can't wait to bring my talent to the field, and I'm ecstatic to be able to work with and learn from such high caliber players"

Now Schehr can proudly say he has earned the opportunity to wear the shield in 2016.  He added, "Not only was receiving the news that I made the Ironmen amazing, but knowing I get to use DYE equipment this year is stellar.  When I'm on the field I know I'll have a flawless marker, comfortable gear, the best loader and the backing of a great brand that will take care of all of my needs."

Head coach Billy Wing has the unique opportunity to present young players with a 'dream come true'.  "When Chris Schehr moved to San Diego for Law school, the Ironmen saw a great opportunity for our team.   Adding another local player gave us the chance to localize our team with even more experienced, California-based Pro talent.  It is always a pleasure to present a young man like Chris Schehr with his Ironmen jersey. His good natured personality, determination, and dedication to success makes him a perfect fit for the team.  We feel Chris will be a big help rounding out the 2016 Ironmen roster.  His raw offense will compliment the experienced closers we currently have.  Look for Chris to really explode offensively with back-field support from players like Paxson, Kemp, and Aviles.  The key to a successful team is not just great players, but a team of great players with complimenting talents. We look forward to seeing what Chris and the rest of the Ironmen can do this year."
